Children who have Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) or other forms of brain damage-related vision loss have unique visual and learning needs, particularly in the area of literacy. Come to this Pre-Conference Make and Take Workshop and learn specific strategies to use with students who visually function in Phase I, Phase II and Phase III on the CVI Range.  A variety of “CVI Friendly” books will be shared, and each participant will have an opportunity to, “Make and Take” a book along with supporting materials to use with their child or student who visually functions in Phase I and/or Phase II. Attend this Workshop and advance literacy skills in your child or student by gaining a better understanding of the system of methods used to increase use of vision in children with CVI.
